Question for CMU students

CMU-Pittsburgh students or recent students: Do you know how much undergraduate TAs are paid? Do you know if it varies by department or if it's standard across the university?

I'm getting pushback from higher-ups about our payscale so it'd be handy info to have.

I don't know if it was universal across the school, but for the one CS class I TAed, all the TAs got paid $3000 per semester.

It varies by department. CS TAs are something like $3000 (as mentioned); philosophy TAs are $1600. Those are the only ones I know...

Yeah, CS TAs were 2 or 3 thousand. Everyone else is saying 3 so I'll believe them. It is decidedly by department, and some department's TAs are paid on an hourly rate instead of a per semester rate.

ECE gets payed based on seniority. Goes from $8 an hour to $13 an hour. 20 hours a week.

Yep. Every department is different. For Math I only got $1350 for the semester, the cheapskates.
